This is a special Collector's Edition release full of exclusive extras you won’t find in the standard version. As a bonus, Collector's Edition purchases count toward three stamps on your Monthly Game Club Punch Card! The Collector’s Edition includes:

The story was a total nothing. It was a super short bonus game and it didn't seem to resolve anything but left me confused. You will encounter tons of challenges during the quest. I don't mind the going back and forth if there's a good map. Very fluid and fascinating. This is a great game with all the right things expected in a CE. The graphics were just spectacular, I thought. If you're anything like me, you won't be disappointed! Not only do you have giant statues coming to life, but you get a skull who has to chomp his wandering eyes as a hint icon, he claims to be the former City Keeper, but that's a long story. I am addicted to these games and I have never felt the need to review a game. Rated 5 out of 5 by BabuskaSargus from All you need Play in Hardcore, and this will be very much an adventure. This CE is a must buy.

I wish most games were similar to this one. And then there's the evil sorcerer Rizallion, an elf who killed his brothers so he could be elf king by himself, who is also connected to the Tree of Wishes. Not only do you have giant statues coming to life, but you get a skull who has to chomp his wandering eyes as a hint icon, he claims to be the former City Keeper, but that's a long story. Gorgeous graphics, puzzles, ho's and collectables. They do have hints in the strategy guide, but I find it distracting to stop and go look at it, so used it minimally. It did have different locations and a few pretty good puzzles. I just loved having the Rooster, the Archer, and especially the Miner at my disposal. You have to get to the Tree of Wishes in the forest and only Rizallion, a powerful sorcerer, can get you there but only in return for a promise. This is a wonderful sequel to The lord of Statues which I loved, there are 22 trading cards to earn, achievements and my personal favorite, 18 morphing little dragons of all shapes and sizes. I found all the collectibles fairly easily, but I did use the strategy guide to make sure I didn't miss any. Puzzles to continue on your way are plentiful. Either way, there is no denying how stunning this game is, visually, and in content.

Sorry that this is not technical, hopefully my passion speaks for itself. Just a fantastic piece of artwork, story, and programming. OTHER STUFF: 4 volume and gamma control; 4 difficulty modes; skeleton head who is the keeper of the city is your hint system, which shows you were to go and teleports you if you choose. I'll make this short and sweet as others have probably said what I want to say about this game. You encounter numerous force fields which require magical weapons to penetrate. I found this game fun and entertaining. But the mini-games are quite clever, fitting in gracefully with the storyline. The Miner was comical. I will say though that this game is pretty easy to play, everything seems logical. You get the necessary room on either side to have a couple of icons! She's finally found her mother, but unfortunately, mom has been kidnapped by some rogue trees that seem to be everywhere in this story. Date published: Animation is wonderful and the color palettes used in the artistic design are really good. CE has morphing dragons and achievements most of which are gained through normal gameplay. The voice-overs could be better and the lips don't move, but the kingdom and its inhabitants are great.

You have to get to the Tree of Wishes in the forest and only Rizallion, a powerful sorcerer, can get you there but only in return for a promise. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by shorenuf from One caveat away from brilliant… Well, as much as I am about to rave about this game, I must say the bonus chapter was fairly short and ended rather weakly. Rated 5 out of 5 by Majestyx12 from Old Fun on Windows 10 Home Sweet Home think this worked better on windows 10 than the one after it-Queen of Shadows. Puzzles to continue on your way are Camelias Locket. You get a magical glove that lets you overcome magical force fields, just in time to outfit a skeleton warrior. As with Surface, they had a bit of a sense of humour to them too. Animation is wonderful and the color palettes used in the artistic design are really good. The map works really well. I really don't think it matters if you haven't played the Lord of Statues but you might want to revisit that game as well, enjoy! So grab this one, if you're looking for a beautiful, fun, challenging game to play. They are crowded, but detailed and list-based. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by skullfun from I absolutely loved it!!! But this playing this game for me, reminded me of the first HO game I ever played or purchased: "Puppet Show: Souls of the Innocent CE" because of Royal Detective: Queen of Shadows Collectors Edition beautiful it was and how truly different ithe game play was. Nice voice overs. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by greenshade from There was only one thing that disappointed me When I played Shiver: Vanishing Hitchhiker demo I had to get this game but thought the Collector's Ed would be worth the money.

I see that other commenters have pretty well described the characters and story line, so I won't go into that. Selena's daughter Princess obviously she made that deal has been searching for for her mother for 5 years, now that she has found her she has asked for the Royal Detectives help in freeing her mother, but this task cannot be done until the statues have been awoken! As with Surface, they had a bit of a sense of humour to them too. Good use of animation. I took a risk by buying the game during the CE sale a few weeks back, and boy, I was so happy that I did. I highly recommend it. Thank you Bigfish. It's a fun game to play, challenging, and I love the interactive map which takes you straight to a location when you click on it, and also shows you were things need to be done. But, once in a while, I would try this at p, and man, the graphics and vibrant colors would just blow you away! I did like the characters, and was glad to see the direction they ended up in. What darkness there is isn't so dark that one can't see, so that's a plus. This is my second play since I bought it in and it really holds up well! I sometimes found the storyline a little befuddling, but not enough for it to lose its shine. You are a detective who's been summoned by the Princess you helped 5 years ago. I really enjoyed this game.

I took a risk by buying the game during the CE sale a few weeks back, and boy, I was so happy Secrets of the Vatican: The Holy Lance I did. And trust me I buy alot of games and I always by CE editions. I wish most games were similar to this one. First played in and it holds up very well, even has 25 collectables! You get the necessary room on either side to have a couple of icons! Crisp and clear, shows how you can do monochrome successfully, interspersed with real color. 1. Good thing you have your trusty fire knife that burns up trees and roots and things! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by skullfun from I absolutely loved it!!! Its one of those games that has everything. As well, there are replayable videos and music. You encounter numerous force fields which require magical weapons to penetrate.

  2. And a good map! The concept art is nice too, and you can save it. Some of the mini games are new, I did skip some that were old hat, so to speak, but I especially liked the one where the person has to travel to the palace, and the one that you had to paint; I like these types of mini games more than the usual ones, like, having to move objects to a particular place but when you move one the others move as well; I have no patience with those types so I usually skip those. Of course, the graphics in general are getting better with each new generation of games. Anyway, the art is beautiful.

  3. There are several modes of difficulty from Casual to Detective mode which gives you nothing, really nothing, no hints, skips, sparkles, and the cursor doesn't even change! Rated 5 out of 5 by Majestyx12 from Old Fun on Windows 10 I think this worked better on windows 10 than the one after it-Queen of Shadows. Play in Casual or Advanced using the map, this game will be much more about the puzzles and the HOs, than the tasks, more an activity than a memory game.
