You owe everything to Rene Malot, the man who found you as a child and raised you as his own. So when he goes missing, you're elected by the district to take his place, following in his footsteps as a doctor. On the way to your new job, a wolf attacks your carriage, forcing you to flee for shelter in a nearby village. Something here is very wrong, but the villagers aren't talking. As you discover their secrets, you might discover something about the foster father whom you've loved so dearly. Foremost, this is not as creepy or scary as the other Shiver Games, however it is not without edge. Game notes and observations that you make throughout the adventure can be found here. Shiver: Moonlit Grove night is dark and scary, the weather is far from welcoming and something is very wrong with this place, for Moonlut deserted, the houses are locked up and empty. The Adventure part of the game was a bit challenging Shivef: I would have preferred an interactive map rather than having to travel all over the game to get what I needed, but at least the Moinlit is not extensive. I was really impressed with this Mystery P.I.: The Vegas Heist. Some going back and forth but all the games do now. Puzzles were mostly easy and standard. Just remember, the button takes time to charge before you can use it again. Have things to find just for fun. No it is not realistic but it is quite logical as these games go. Shiver is the third in the series, the other two games were Poltergeist and Vanishing Hitchhiker. Dark and gloomy atmosphere was supported by the astounding graphics and intriguing story line which you want to follow to the end. I loved the fact that some of the items picked up underway had to be either combined with others or manipulated in some way in order to work - a great addition to the standard puzzles, HOS and games. Its been a long time since I've written a review but this game totally blew me away! And was more of the same calibre as the main game. Overall, a Shiver: Moonlit Grove nice game and I thank the developer for the thought they put behind it. The hint Sparkle 2 works good. And, the graphics are reminisce of Evoly Myst type genre. The puzzles are good some easier than others. The secret of escaping lies within solving the mystery of the village. A doctor found you when you were a baby, cured and raised you. Drag left and right to scroll through your items. Storyline was not edge of your seat interesting, and Halloween Stories: Horror Movie times seemed a bit choppy. Shiver: Moonlit Grove storyline was nothing particularly new or exciting, but it at least made sense. Some of the locations that were no longer needed sort of closed themselves once I was done with them, but others just stayed and I think it would have been better if the game could have closed them or told me that I was finished there. We didn't get a map, or I just wasn't looking hard enough, but I had no trouble moving between places. This is a great game. There are many excellent aspects to Moonlit Grove --the best of the Shiver series, in my opinion. Things however go awry when a wolf attacks your carriage. Plus, it's an opportunity to keep playing one of the best series to hit the market. As you journey to your new position, a wolf attacks your carriage, forcing you to take refuge in a nearby village. I was happily putting the things here and there to get the hidden objects. So far, this is my favorite game of the year!
