Amaranthine Voyage: The Orb of Purity Collector's Edition

The storyline is quite good and I really want to help Kraixx put his world in order. Luckily, the art team is here to save this game rolling down the hill. Not to mention excellent gameplay! Bennett has made a major breakthrough with her otherworldly portal, and someone has just arrived on her doorstep! You soon discovered that there are mysterious dark harmonium forces lurking in the parallel world, and now that they have slowly leaked into our world — you need to stop them before it is too late. If I like the mini-games I am not as bored by these gimmicks but in some games they are rather a nuisance to complete when I need to get on with saving someone or something — lol. There are six chapters to the main game plus the bonus game. And things get less intelligible from there, unfortunately. The killer for me was the mini games. Date published: One big source of irritation for me was using the gauntlet you acquire early on to bring in crystal power by playing the same two minigames over and over again. The hidden object scenes are better, all of them are very interactive and they come in a nice variety of formats. I really don't know what has happened to this developer, but the quality has gone downhill for a while now.

I found Whisper of a Rose starting to dread it by the end. The adventure portion of the game should be a no-brainer for all of those who are familiar with HOPAs from Eipix — it involves a lot of running back and forth Runaway Express Mystery well as a Clockwork Crokinole of same-old tasks. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by skullfun from Amaranthine Voyage 5: Get the balance Right! So give it a try. The story is about what you would expect. Once again, we enter the fantasy world of Amaranthine Voyage and this time, we are on our journey to save the world from being threatened by dark harmonium forces. I'm Defense of Roman Britain a mini game person and that just spoiled it for me. You can select from a choice of four modes of gameplay: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Custom. If I like the mini-games I am not as bored by these gimmicks but in some games they are rather a nuisance to complete when I need to get on with saving someone or something — lol. The killer for me was the mini games. A cloaking device which you must repair in order to use and lots of strategy. The hidden object scenes are better, all of them are very interactive and they come in a nice variety of formats. There were many moments in the game that we felt confused by plot-points that are disconnected, illogical and even somewhat contradictory. The story is about what you would expect. The adventure portion of the game should be a no-brainer for all of those who are familiar with HOPAs from Eipix — it involves a lot of running back and forth as well as a handful of same-old tasks. Kraixx might look like you and I but he's definitely from another world, a world being consumed by the dark energy of Harmonium. Only for series completists. Hidden object scenes are prevalent but nothing fancy, and each area features three to four screens where you collect everything you need quickly and then have to blow through about four puzzles in a row to move on. Most of the Hidden Object Puzzles are silhouetted shape finds, or multiple finds, but there's also an extremely interactive and progressive scene where you fidget with all kinds of gadgets, and another where you are tasked with finding symbols or glyphs written on the walls on 3 sections, which was somewhat challenging and a nice change of pace. Bennett has made a major breakthrough with her otherworldly portal, and someone has just arrived on her doorstep! And things get less intelligible from there, unfortunately. It seemed to begin in the middle of something and when the demo ended, it was a cliff hanger. As I recall, I liked it so much I replayed it all the way through once again once it was over, which is something I've definitely never done again! We also have an interactive transporter type map that is located on the right side of the user interface area. I assume the low ratings come from people who have tried a lot of Eipix's stuff, but don't be deceived by them: this game has bright, interesting scenery, a unique storyline for the most part even if it does dovetail into the usual 'rescuing people from a mysterious evil' style of tale , and a fusion of fantasy and sci fi elements. Not to mention excellent gameplay! I really don't know what has happened to this developer, but the quality has gone downhill for a while now. Had it been on graphics only, I wouldn't have given it that high, but the sound, especially the voice over scenes were excellent.

This edition offers gorgeous graphics, excellent voice acting, and lengthy game play hours. Bennett has made a major breakthrough with her otherworldly portal, and someone has just arrived on her Dracula Origin One had nothing that you had to figure out, you just placed shapes in obvious places. The hidden object scenes are better, all of them are very interactive and they come in a nice variety of formats. Depends upon how much you like it. Total waste of money Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by Alenee from A solid fantasy game This NUX the first Eipix game that I played and to be honest it was the reason why Amandas Sticker Book became interested in trying other games from them, too. Though I have not played much more than the demo, I write to recommend whether to by the CE or the SE because that's what I want to know when both are out. You cannot have light without the dark, there cannot be good if there isn't evil, you cannot destroy until you create! All of the locations in The Orb of Purity are worthy of being desktop wallpapers; we enjoyed the bright colors and the majestic look of many of the scenes. Overall, this was repetitive and marginal for me. Who among them is the villain? You play a professor who assists her colleague when a stranger from another dimension arrives at the school. Only for series completists. This is posted after playing the demo. I found myself starting to dread it by the end. If you choose the custom mode you can set the hint recharge time in a range from 10 to seconds and puzzle skips from 10 to seconds. The Collector's Edition also has several Achievements to earn, and many of the inventory items have plus signs indicating some type of interaction is necessary before using the item. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you will encounter: 1 Assemble the CCPP logo by dragging different tetris shapes into the individual letters. This game has all the CE bells and whistles, so if you really like the game, the CE might be worth it. Kraixx has crossed through a portal to seek our help to save his world from doom caused by dark Harmonium energy that has gone awry. There were many moments in the game that we felt confused by plot-points that are disconnected, illogical and even somewhat contradictory. 1. Who among them is the villain? The game looks and sounds reasonable, although the voice of the main antagonist drives me crazy and seems to be featured in everything I play lately. If you want something bright and fantastical but not too hard, you could do a lot worse than spending an afternoon on this game.

  2. Armed with a Gauntlet which absorbs good Harmonium and dispels evil Harmonium. There is also my favorite list type included in the mix but no matter the type of scene many are quite interactive and that increases the fun. The story is about what you would expect. I found myself starting to dread it by the end.

  3. I bought the CE and don't regret it, but the SE would be fun, too. This edition offers gorgeous graphics, excellent voice acting, and lengthy game play hours. It seemed to begin in the middle of something and when the demo ended, it was a cliff hanger. All in all, the HOPs and puzzles are terrific and even though some of the puzzles might seem easy, there is a good mix of difficulty so there is something for everyone. Needless to say the game was an instant purchase for me but, as always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy.

  4. Who among them is the villain? Follow Kraixx back to his world and help him overturn the Watchers and restore the balance in this new game in the Amaranthine Voyage series - The Orb of Purity. The story is about what you would expect. It's up to Eve "you" to purify an alien world and restore balance of the harmonium in the universe in this wonderful Adventure Puzzle Hidden Object!

  5. Of course with this being a game from my favorite game developer, I know that I am getting top quality in graphics and sound. Moreover, Amaranthine Voyage 5 comes with a predictable gameplay. Fortunately, Kraixx has equipped you with a Gauntlet capable of collecting both dark and light Harmonium energy, breaking barriers and discharging it's energy as needed. Still, you will be able to enjoy the spectacular visuals and the heavy-loaded extras.

  6. I have another of this series and while it has been a while since I've played it, I do not recall having one mini game after the other and that is what this seems to have at least in the demo. Give the demo a try as always and see what you think. As expected, Eipix delivers some excellent visuals. The Mini Games are fantastic! Unfortunately, this one was not fun for me and I couldn't wait to have the demo end.

  7. You soon discovered that there are mysterious dark harmonium forces lurking in the parallel world, and now that they have slowly leaked into our world — you need to stop them before it is too late. If balance isn't restored in his world, our world will surely perish! The Mini Games are fantastic! Now you must protect Kraixx, travel to that world and finish work of your new friend, protecting that world from the wrath of dark harmonium!

  8. Moreover, Amaranthine Voyage 5 comes with a predictable gameplay. This game has all the CE bells and whistles, so if you really like the game, the CE might be worth it. A cloaking device which you must repair in order to use and lots of strategy.

  9. I found myself starting to dread it by the end. You'll zip through portals and meet lots of people who end up standing there helplessly while you do absolutely everything, and while the consequences of failure are presented as very great indeed, I can't say you ever feel like anything going on is really that important. This game has all the CE bells and whistles, so if you really like the game, the CE might be worth it.
