Not too shabby, just not too interesting. However, after playing this game in its entirety, I simply had to review it. I'll keep it short and sweet. Enjoy your first night's stay at your new home in Pine Hills. We need to shoot all the demons, monsters, witches and soul stealers to the moon! While going further into the game I am surprised that it is really good. You somewhat reluctantly agree and take Dorothy her dinner. Sleuthing aspect is good, but a few areas not obvious what next step should be. And the HOPs were fantastic. There are also morphing objects in the hidden object scenes and souvenir mustaches props that you can collect post-game. I really don't have anything negative to say about this game. The story is good, the graphics are beautiful, the puzzles interesting, most of them were great variations I had never played before. The storyline is excellent. It sounded like it would be similar to a tv series called Wayward Pines where the residents of this idyllic town pretended that life here was normal when in reality, they were surrounded by an electrically fortified fence.

You somewhat reluctantly agree and take Dorothy her dinner. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in a while. Upon meeting Dorothy who is surprised by your presence you hand her the dinner tray and begin talking. And I love having the possibility to toggle pop ups. I had a lot of fun playing this game, and I plan to go back and play again soon! One spouse begins looking for a bottle of champagne while the other heads across the street to greet the Greenwald's and attend the party. I love murder mysteries, but many are dark and dreary. The presents are impossible to overlook, they are brightly colored especially in contrast to the dull yellowish colored scenery and to make it more obvious, they have a huge red bow and ribbon around each present. From the start, that was a neat feature. Extremely well done! There were a couple of great red herrings too! Overall, a really nice game to play. I particularly liked the Mustache Pedia.

The Hidden Object Scenes vary with just about every type, Interactive List finds, Keywords in Sentences, Multiple Item finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, Replacing items into the scene, and Progressive Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds where you find an item that matches the Silhouetted Shape, and then use that item within the scene Interactively to find the next item. Not short of interest for me at all. I even understand the storyline don't always get that, but it could be lack of attention and especially the HOS, they are exceptionally well crafted and my only complaint is that there are not so many of them. Would like to see more of these types of mysteries. If I had to guess, I think they simply couldn't "imagine" a completely new storyline plot, so they decided to create a new series that they know will sell, just because it's a new game series. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by puzzler46 from Lots of fun solving crimes I completely enjoyed this game. The first part of the game is a double bill. There are nods to other games. Not as many HOPs as I would have liked, but the ones present require interactions in order to obtain, some are hidden behind other objects, so can be tricky to find. I don't know Eipix fans may appreciate all of the new and improved style and format of this new series. Also the "Secret Room" in the extras has a nice twist in making you do more to find the objects and most were cleverly hidden! The story was wonderful and really was a head scratcher.

The story was wonderful and really was a head scratcher. Some of the HOP's are well done, however, the graphics aren't that impressive and one of the HOP's with keywords didn't make a whole lot of sense as far as related items go.

I also loved the old timey map which was drawn like a tourist map: Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by WhiteladiesRd from These Memoirs are Very Welcome and will be Well-Remembered Thrilling, funny, entertaining! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by lynnminer from More of these please!! It works very well with the story and allows another perspective. I liked the variety in puzzles including in HOGs and the different characters presented. The story covers proving their innocence and finding evidence against the culprit, and getting the arrested.

  7. Kudos to the devs! I sincerely hope they make a second one like this. Really top notch! Bring a bottle of your favorite wine, and don't forget to don your mustache, this will be the perfect time to meet and greet your new neighbors and tell them a little bit about yourselves. Everything about this game was new and exciting.

  8. Anyone who tried to escape was executed in the town square. I do kind of wish that they would have added a few extra touches. I want to go back and play as the husband, as I chose to start with the wife in my first time playing. I have been playing games from BF for 8 years now but due to the fact that most games are reviewed by people that have written hundreds of reviews and usually do a great job at it, I almost never submit a review. Great murder mystery.
