Hidden Fears

Having just married, a young couple decides to spend their unforgettable honeymoon at a charming mountain resort by the name of Creek Falls. But it becomes immediately clear that the resort is under the influence of dark forces and after meeting two mysterious strangers, the newlywed’s relationship begins to sour. Can they survive this hellish ordeal and prove their undying love for each other?

I didn't use it for the first half of the game but towards the end it was more time consuming to backtrack through scenes. I prefer not to do this as there is sometimes direction included, but I couldn't stand waiting for it to move forward. And yet, somehow, developers have managed to craft a deeply unsettling, impressively scream-worthy experience with Hidden Fears - a title that delivers more frights than some of the most expensive horror games out there. Rated 5 out of 5 by gallica2 from not your average hog : at times, playing this, i felt overwhelmed with the difficulty in some of the puzzles. I did it no problem. Gripping spooky and fun! I did have some difficulty understanding some of them, but that's why they have the skip button. The graphics are strange and annoying with a constant flickering feature that's supposed to represent surveillance video footage, and that's without the optional "film grain" feature. Kept me me interested all the way through. Mini games were numerous and also varied. I am curious about the storyline, so I may pick this up with PCC. I did so but unless I did something wrong, nothing resulted. People's lips do move and there is text. Had a good time with this one. I also did not like that Tony is so nonchalant on finding his bride being in mortal danger. Crafting objects, puzzle pieces and multi-puzzle puzzles are a large part of the game. There's a certain appeal to this game. I'll check the recommend game, but only, again, if you are patient. The storyline. I am curious about the storyline, so I may pick this up with PCC. The few I played were relatively challenging, not solely because the instructions were lacking, but also because they were well-designed.

We are given nothing more than a story board view of a couple being invited to a resort for their honeymoon. The lack of basics we've grown accustomed to, gives me the desire to continue. At this point frustration really set in and I left the demo. Once I was actually able to perceive what the goal was, it took some effort to achieve it. It consists mostly of hidden objects! Me too! Might this have been a sound game? It is a genre that tends to be nearly devoid of animation, after all. I did it no problem. But instead of being simply yet another HOG, Hidden Fears is actually a very solid and entertaining experience for the brief while it lasts. The interactive map was helpful. Gripping spooky and fun! 1. To much talking and I couldn't find objects. Just like a B rated movie you can't stop watching because you rationalize that it surely gets better, my mind keeps telling me to stick with it, surely it gets better. The interactive map was helpful. The voiceovers were clearly done by self-conscious amateurs; the affect was unrealistic and the melodrama level was high. Anyway, it gave me lots and lots of lovely scenes with lots of hidden objects, and now I'm looking forward to playing the follow-up game in this series.

  2. With the success of films like the Saw and TV series like Supernaturals, it seems that spooky stories are at an all time high in terms of popularity. I think the main issue with this game is it was made by non-native English speakers and the culture clash is readily apparent. Two things that are con: In hidden object scenes, if you click more than 3 times without finding anything, the screen goes dark for a second or so. I uninstalled this game after completing the tutorial.

  3. The storyline. I did so but unless I did something wrong, nothing resulted. If you want to try it all I wish you is Good Luck!!!! I didn't use it for the first half of the game but towards the end it was more time consuming to backtrack through scenes. I did have some difficulty understanding some of them, but that's why they have the skip button.

  4. Finding the objects was neither too easy nor too hard. Rated 5 out of 5 by gallica2 from not your average hog : at times, playing this, i felt overwhelmed with the difficulty in some of the puzzles. Did not care for the follow the arrow when fighting the ghost or just the whole part of fighting the ghost. The player is told to use said flashlight in the lobby.

  5. Schtolze who reminds Tony that he also faces death unless the not so good doctor can be beaten in a game of cards. Date published: Rated 2 out of 5 by LogieBaby from The only fear here is the game itself A bit finicky, often requiring multiple clicks to get it right. It showed areas where there were things to do and would transport me wherever I wanted to go. Things go from bad to worse, and Tony is faced with the reality that he must make life or death decisions, to rescue his wife from the former residents of Creek Falls.

  6. Also the skip doesn't work. I did so but unless I did something wrong, nothing resulted. Graphics are very good and the levels are challenging, The animations give a nice feeling to each level.

  7. It is a genre that tends to be nearly devoid of animation, after all. Good job All thought others my like the game. The initial and only HO segment I ran into is of the fractured object variety.

  8. With its opening cut scene Rosen Studio starts with dread. Next: When battling a ghost, you are asked if you want to quit the battle early. The player is told to use said flashlight in the lobby. In the last few years I have played hundreds of games and this one is by far one of the better ones! There's a certain appeal to this game.

  9. I enjoyed the added horror element it was like I was immersed in a game meant for Edgar Allen Poe! You start out as a security detail, but the situation goes sideways and now your job is to find your way to rescue your wife and then escape. People's lips do move and there is text. Was not that impressed with the game as a hole it is not a game I would buy. It might be a fun game if you are patient.

  10. The invitation paints a picture of a beautiful, luxury hotel, and apparently they had made no other honeymoon plans, nor did they bother to do some research on Creek Falls, before packing their bags and heading for destination unknown! The storyline has a great flow to it, and as you find objects, they relate to either something nearby or in a previous screen. Things go from bad to worse, and Tony is faced with the reality that he must make life or death decisions, to rescue his wife from the former residents of Creek Falls. But the sound, story, and graphics make up for that!

  11. Given the design of the puzzles and the well-done FROG scenes, I think this dev has a lot of potential, so I tried to be constructively critical. Let the games begin! It might be a fun game if you are patient. The FROG scenes.

  12. A standard edition doesn't mean it's short. Most of the fragments were well-blended into the scene, making them difficult to spot. But instead of being simply yet another HOG, Hidden Fears is actually a very solid and entertaining experience for the brief while it lasts.
