Off The Record: Liberty Stone

You thought you’d found a plum assignment covering a beauty pageant in paradise. But then the famous Liberty Stone - which was to be worn by the pageant winner - goes missing. And you’re one of the suspects! The saga of the savvy journalist continues in Eipix’s latest game in the Off the Record series! The mini games Finally, the ending was a bit hokey. This is posted after playing the entire game. One of those games you want to transport through the screen and hang out. Really kept me guessing and enough of a challenge for me. You need to work against time to solve the case and restore your good name. One of the tools that I personally appreciate and use the most is the interactive transporter-type map that this development team includes in its games. I will be looking for more games like these in the future. Some of the HOS are just regular list finds, my favorite was a progressive silhouette game where you find fruit to mix, and play a minigame where you cut the fruit when a meter is in the green zone, and then add that mixture to a shaker bottle and shake the shaker as fast as you can.

This is an extremely good one, though, and I'm happy I bought it. Most Eipix games seem to be much longer. Discuss with other players! This game is totally off the record awesome. There are plus signs on many of the inventory items and many of those items have a quick mini game that needs completed before you can use it such as turning dials to the correct image from clues that you come across during your investigation. I did play more than my usual of them, but I just don't have the desire to over work what brain I have left All mystery gamers should try this game. The map should not abut the hint button too easy to click the wrong button. Seriously, I did not leave my seat until it was finished. The HO scenes were varied and there were morphing objects to find in these, but I enjoyed them and did not find them tedious, as I did with Danse Macabre. Had a couple of tough mini games but unique. The game grabbed me from the start. The story, while I took a bit to catch on what was taking place and going to take place, it was predictable, but kept my interest all the way through. Game includes map to move from place to place. While I still do not understand the need for the dialog boxes, the voice overs were well done. The owner of the resort, Carlos Sterling, is allowing the winner of the pageant to wear the Liberty Stone, which is not sitting well with Tyrell Walker who claims to be the true owner of the stone. All in all, the HOS were fun and I didn't think there was much back and forth involved. It was a decent length and had a bonus adventure, but I enjoyed it so much it seemed short, although it really wasn't! The graphics were gorgeous. There were no unusual gimmicks, but this game didn't need them because it was so good. I always enjoy the HOPs from this developer as they are very interactive and multi-level and in this particular game the HOPs seem exceptionally well done and enjoyable. Do you have an issue with your game? There 4 Elements II no unusual gimmicks, but this game didn't need them because it was so good. I always enjoy the HOPs from this developer as they are very interactive and multi-level and in this particular game the HOPs seem exceptionally well done and enjoyable. Minor quibbles: The game could have used a journal, for players who want to limit their use of hints and the map. The HO scenes were varied and there were morphing objects to find in these, but I enjoyed them and did not find them tedious, as I did with Danse Off The Record: Liberty Stone. Well it can't get much worse, you're the prime suspect when the priceless Liberty Stone gem is Trade Mania and the empty case is in your possession! Discuss with other players!   1. I always seem to find some surprise in each HOP that I come across which keeps things interesting. Gameplay, graphics and everything else was totally alright with me. On to the next one! I am having so much fun playing with the scenery and the objects that might move or make various sounds when they are clicked.

  2. They have done better in the past, but this was acceptable. Once again, you will find several audio cassettes throughout the game to play in your cassette recorder, there is an icon to the left of the inventory bar for quick access to the recorder. I truly enjoyed the mini-games. After reading some of the other reviews, I was a bit leery about getting this game, but I found nothing wrong with it. This is an extremely good one, though, and I'm happy I bought it.

  7. One of those games you want to transport through the screen and hang out. Overall, a great game. I played on Easy for a relaxing game and actually found myself enjoying many of the HO scenes, with their "builds" -- not the usual find-the-tiny-object exercise found in most HO games.

I know that many of you think the HOPA games are becoming very redundant but I am a hopeless fan of the genre and this developer is one of my favorites. Well it can't get much worse, you're the prime suspect when the priceless Liberty Stone gem is stolen and the empty case is in your possession!

  11. Write a post! The Liberty Stone is the story of a feud between two families that goes much deeper than the disputed ownership of the precious gem. It ended abruptly and with a question. Up to date HOS and game play. It needed to be sharp, especially in the HO scenes.

  13. There was no journal although we keep asking EIPIX for one but the story wasn't too hard to follow and objectives were regularly updated. Please note that we can't help you out if you write about it in your review. While I still do not understand the need for the dialog boxes, the voice overs were well done. While playing the game you will find the standard tools available with the additions of a tape recorder that will be used to play cassettes that are found as the game progresses.
