Empress of the Deep 2: Song of the Blue Whale

Anna awakens on a mysterious tiny island after escaping the destruction of her underwater kingdom. She must find her way to a mystical floating cloud city in the sky, seek out the four Children of Light and save them from the twisted clutches of the Evil Empress Pandora. Along the way she must rescue and heal enchanted animal slaves in this fantastic Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game!

The mini-games are not overly challenging, but they are enjoyable. You even have to solve 4 puzzles they are the same, so a bit of a disappointment there to finally get to ZEM -- so more playtime. Give this one a go! In terms of gameplay, however, the two titles are miles apart, and only the hidden object-hunting faithful will prefer this deeply casual adventure title. Graphics and animations in some areas were not quite up to 5 stars, but I wouldn't let that keep you from giving this game a try. Now Anna must travel to the Temple in the Sky and save the children, along with the Guardian animals that have been imprisoned by Pandora Still, it's fun and I will definitely be recommending to a friend. Being 48 years old, I'm all about a challenge! I played this game solely on recomendations and they were spot on!!! I am really attracted to games with beautiful graphics and fantasy concepts. Some objects were hard to fine and some maps I didn't understand I do recommend this games if you like hidden object games. The latter is the most common challenge, and breaks no new ground in the formula.

The game is different from other HO games I've played as it's a whole lot more challenging. Flaws: The map is worse than useless. I didn't find all the Battle Slots necessary to unlock the bonus game, but wasn't interested in going back to find the rest. I'm looking forward to the 3rd one - although I will admit that I agree with a previous review and that this could quite easily have been added to the first game because I did find myself thinking that it was almost as if they had created the game, picked a good point and just cut it off for a sequel. And the game actually throws in a bunch of new and exciting things and so while this one is quite different, it's still very enjoyable. Overall, this is a doable game for people who are good at strategy games, and Harrowed Halls: Hells Thistle who are not. I wasn't let down. You go through one after another beautiful, elaborate scene with special effects -- only to pick up one or two items. Beautiful graphics, great sound effects and soothing music, easy to move around in and a bit twisty at the end. Like totally, for sure The graphics have improved tremendously since the first Empress, which had very blurry graphics within the HOS which made some items unrecognizable. A real fine time of fantasy getaway! Date published: Absorbing and relaxing hidden object game. As for the Platinum Edition, the few extras were fine but not necessarily worth the extra money.

It was better than the first EOD, and passed a good hours at my snailish pace nicely. The tapes showing Pandora's evolution into madness or evil don't really add a lot if you played the original game. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by hoolahan from "Fantasy adventure" Beautiful graphics, more strategy than hidden object but still one of my favourite games. Some objects were hard to fine and some maps I didn't understand I do recommend this games if you like hidden object games. Your main goal, for example, is to rescue four Children of Light, but it takes a good while to work out why they're important and why Anna should be bothered anyway. Hope number 3 is in the offing soon! The latter is the most common challenge, and breaks no new ground in the formula. But, perhaps due to the sharply rendered levels and plinky plunky soundtrack, Song of the Blue Whale has a slightly barmy appeal to keep you plugging away with the rote gameplay. It is truly something special. Good storyline. It makes getting around sometimes frustrating. But I especially liked that once you've completed your tasks in a scene a large bubble pops up that says "area cleared," so you're not wasting time wondering if you've gotten to everything. The story line, music, graphics, and variety of scenes lend themselves to a top quality gaming experience. The mini games are pretty easy and ones we've seen before like turning tiles to complete a picture and turning pipes etc..

Sometimes I stopped play just to listen. Spng said, the graphics are astounding and it was good fun. Graphics were beautiful. I just spent several hours saving the Children in this most delightful game. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this tge, and I hope Gameagents keeps their Age of Mahjong and brings out a third installment. The special effects, music, plot, and puzzles, and the total overall experience were fabulous. Some puzzles require you to direct beams of light to light up all orbs using mirrors and splitters, or Battle Slots all circuits by rotating directional paths on each tile. Still, it's fun and I will definitely be recommending to a friend. Just don't expect much HO action. The bonus game called Zem is real addicting! Now Anna must travel to the Temple in the Sky and save the children, along with the Guardian animals that Emress been imprisoned by Pandora That was really helpful, but if you can get through without using it o bravo to you! The graphics are crystal clear I had no problems playing it and it was fun.

It makes getting around sometimes frustrating. This game is wonderful. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by hoolahan from "Fantasy adventure" Beautiful graphics, more strategy than hidden object but still one of my favourite games. The Hidden Object Scenes are basic Listed items with no interactions available. Can't wait for the next one to be continued It's like the opening of Lost, only told through the prism of an acid trip perhaps , and it makes not a jot of sense. Likewise, the storyline does a good job of guiding you through the tasks, which are interesting and fairly easy to complete. As the empress you're charged with releasing four children imprisoned by your evil sister, but are some twists to the tale that keep it from being stale. I am really attracted to games with beautiful graphics and fantasy concepts. The only annoying thing was the delivery of the main character's dialogue; at times, I really thought she was going to break into "Valley Girl" talk. This game is absolutely gorgeous, excites and invites the imagination to experience the blessing of its being. In my opinion, the only valuable asset in this Collectors Edition is the built in Strategy Guide, really the only other difference is collectible diary pages belonging to Pandora which will open up bonus gameplay of an unusual Match 3 game called Zen, enjoy! ZEM -- not at all your typical match 3, and I mean not at all! The story line, music, graphics, and variety of scenes lend themselves to a top quality gaming experience. This game fits that bill as you help Anna save all of the animal guardians of the cloud city!

You go through one after another beautiful, elaborate scene with special effects -- only to pick up one or two items. Note that the HO part is minimal, fairly easy, and at least the hidden object games relate to the story. Sometimes I stopped play just to listen. I liked the storyline of restoring the seasons and helping the animals but it is kind of easy to predict how it ends. Empress of the Deep 2 is undoubtedly a superficially pretty game that casual hidden object fans will probably lap up, but everyone else is just going to wish the Rapture was actually coming to mobiles. I have played hundreds of games, and there is no other game like this series, the storyline is like no other. The clues in the pictures were a little hard to see. Now Anna must travel to the Temple in the Sky and save the children, along with the Guardian animals that have been imprisoned by Pandora The graphics are excellent, making the HO scenes quite easy, although you do have to do some searching. You have to find them all to get access to the ZEM area. The Strategy Guide is great because you don't have to exit to the main menu to access it. A marvelous way for mother and daughter to bond and explore a beautiful, empowering, and uplifting world together. I always think, wouldn't it be grand to have such a world. The Hidden Object Scenes are basic Listed items with no interactions available.

  1. Why get the CE -- well, you will collect 6 items that give you pages from the wicked sister's diary -- a little more insight into the story, but that's not the best part. Her twin sister Pandora had unrightfully claimed her position as Empress, and tricked Anna into following her directions instead of Jacobs. That said, the graphics are astounding and it was good fun. I like the different scenes you go to.

  2. This is game programming at its best!!! I am really attracted to games with beautiful graphics and fantasy concepts. All the wildlife looked realistic, and were accompanied by realistic animal sounds This installment of the Empress of the Deep was as good, maybe better than the first.

  3. That was really helpful, but if you can get through without using it then bravo to you! Good storyline. Some parts of the game made me think about what was needed in order for me to continue the game. That said, the graphics are astounding and it was good fun.

  4. Anyways, this sequel had a great continuing story line, plenty of HOSs, and puzzles that were not brain bending. Graphics and animations in some areas were not quite up to 5 stars, but I wouldn't let that keep you from giving this game a try. The graphics blew me away and the story line is awesome. The platinum edition has a button at the top of the screen with a built-in walk-through which I didn't use, but did check out.

  5. It's incredibly positive for adults and children, alike. Loved loved loved all the animals in this one, great idea, maybe more could be worked out for a third Empress??? Fans of the first one should enjoy this follow up. A real fine time of fantasy getaway!

  6. The story line is wholesome, full of heart, uplifting and conforms to a high moral standard. Hope number 3 is in the offing soon! In my opinion, the only valuable asset in this Collectors Edition is the built in Strategy Guide, really the only other difference is collectible diary pages belonging to Pandora which will open up bonus gameplay of an unusual Match 3 game called Zen, enjoy! I liked the storyline of restoring the seasons and helping the animals but it is kind of easy to predict how it ends.

  7. I found myself dawdling through HO scenes, taking in the sights and soaking up the atmosphere. As the empress you're charged with releasing four children imprisoned by your evil sister, but are some twists to the tale that keep it from being stale. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by luvbaby from Beautifully designed game. The richness of the scenes and the variation in the scenes did not allow you to become bored.

  8. This is game programming at its best!!! Story: It is simple and easy to follow, less involving, however, than the graphics. The richness of the scenes and the variation in the scenes did not allow you to become bored. Even masterful in ways.
