I deducted a star on this version of Maze, only because I felt that after the demo, the nightmares were all pretty much the same, and didn't hold my interest at all times. Many of the scenes offer Panoramic views, where you can scroll further to the left or right in an attempt to make the player feel like they are actually there. It is a perfect game for a lazy day. I, too, like a mini game that does not overshadow the pace of the story. When I rate a game, my biggest consideration is whether or not the demo held my attention. I especially loved the ghostly apparitions and monsters. However, Maze: Nightmare Realm chooses to adopt a not-so-unique storyline, one that has been done countless times before by other developers. This function makes these games so unique. I was hooked immediately and purchased the game before the demo ran out, not something I generally do. If you prefer the CE version of games the Maze: Nightmare Realm has collectibles, artifacts and morphing objects to be found. I loved the hidden objects and liked the mini games for a change. You don't have to scroll through page after page looking for something that happened previously. I played with these settings: no sparkles, no tutorial, no helpful text messages, plus-indicator, icon changes over active areas.

Those looking for an intense challenge won't get it from the game either. This way, both versions are fresh in my mind, and I don't confuse the current game with other games I've played. The game definitely does not do anything groundbreaking, but the complexity and the high level of challenge alone are enough Maze: Nightmare Realm captivate us. Two games I enjoyed very much and this game within the Maze series is no exception to that. This game has it all from crisp jewel-toned graphics that are absolutely gorgeous, Sparkle 2 interesting interactive HOPS and lots of excellent puzzles. I Fill And Cross Christmas Riddles enjoy Mad Head's hidden object scenes and mini-games but these were some of the best from this developer. This game is a welcome exception. Some of the puzzles I didn't understand and some were repeated two or three times and once is enough for me. The graphics are beautiful and, yes, icy but perfect for a cold and rainy day here in my town. Madhead does a great job presenting games, but feel they should give a little more on longevity. I especially enjoyed the mini games although some could be a little bit more challenging but they are more challenging than many other Maze: Nightmare Realm I have played. I thought the acting was excellent, especially for the aunt and the boy, and the monsters were monsters, growling but not screeching. The production team did a great job with the sights and sounds. Nonetheless, we wish the game would have leaned more towards the psychological thriller theme that was central to the previous installments, rather than this dark fantasy approach.
To me, neither sequels have been better than the first, but they each have their own merits and are worth playing. The story and the dream world of Timmy you enter made sense to me. Music wise, carries the mood of the game very well. Boy and I glad I didn't listen to me. Graphics are really nice in this game, though, just like the animations. Many of the scenes have puzzles incorporated as well as some interactivity when it comes to finding many of the items. You don't have to scroll through page after page looking for something that happened previously. The Mini Games are numerous and entertaining, and most of the puzzles give you the option to play the game in either an Easy of Hard mode which is a feature I really like. Madhead does a great job presenting games, but feel they should give a little more on longevity. I almost talked myself out of buying this one even before playing the demo. The scenery was the right amount of dreariness to set the stage for this spooky thriller. Enjoy the play! The bonus chapter is a little weaker in our opinion, and has a decent length of roughly 50 minutes. The story line intrigued me, entering the nightmare of a young boy and meeting what scares him but the boy is elusive, taunting at times, trying to outrun his fear. The challenges are sufficient to satisfy any player, but not so tough as to make you constantly reach for the hint or skip buttons.
It is a well put together game from start to finish. I was also happy to see Elven Legend 6: The Treacherous Trick storyline focusing more on the paranormal, similar to that of the first game, Maze: Subject You're not bored with the same old same Nightmrae. If it Maze: Nightmare Realm not read reviews, I would have passed on this game. For me, it is an unusual story line but again, I don't play this kind of game usually. I love puzzles in HOPA games and even though some puzzles are familiar there are still some surprises in difficulty. The Hidden Object Scenes are well done, again the devs have done a nice job of keeping the items true to the period of time. In this series:. Taken all in all, these definitely add to the already great game experience. There's just one problem, Jimmy doesn't want to leave, until he completes his "dare" In the Collector's Edition version, there are 31 Collectible Hidden Signs, some of which are very well hidden. I enjoyed this game. So I liked that being reflected in the game. I tend to not pay much attention to this when enjoying a game but it felt like a descent amount, a couple of hours. The warning about the graphics were a bit unnecessary, as others have mentioned. Each scene is decorated with sophisticated details, outstanding visual effects, and a haunting background music. In the end, though, I could only give it 4 stars because it was simply too short.

I have Maze-Subject and Maze-The Broken Tower, great games both, but this newest addition to the series blew me away! Well, that's my interpretation of it.
