The games are very simple, but they take many forms. There is also a relaxed mode and three others. This one is a keeper! Saddened when it quit on me. There's lots to do! And because it was such outstanding game it made it so much more the pity. There are forty levels in this mode, each one having a different challenge. I hope the developers come out with more of these because I would buy every single one. Not so with IHO games which can be measured in hours most of the time. I was in awe at times at the beauty of the experience. Each screen is completely different from the one before! For those of us who like adventure games, but are a bit soured on HOS unless done in a clever way , this is a good development. I played with my Playpass, would not buy it though as it's not my favorite genre and it's too juvenile for my taste. Skipping that, I liked it. Alawar always gives good value for the money but I often have to turn the music off or down as it's obviously the game developer's taste and will not necessarily appeal to a broad range of people.

The real 'meat' in this game is in the Challenge mode. When I am not playing adventure games I usually pull down a match 3 game to break up the challenge I was in awe at times at the beauty of the experience. Not so with IHO games which can be measured in hours most of the time. How about some more adventure games with match-3 instead of junk piles to dig into? Each step of the journey brought a new and different matching style and all of them were fun. I would even say that these bonuses are enough to be a standalone game. The Challenge boards are very interesting too. Download and just buy it if you're a match 3 lover. Nevertheless, there is a lot of innovation occurring in this game which makes it very different. In Adventure mode you get a nice little story about a young girl who tries to save her parents after ice has covered their world. So if you are up for a real challenge in a match three game, which has a lot of variety, this is it! Seven puzzles and match 3 variations per level with some very challenging boards. But once the story is complete, the Challenge section is an exercise in patience. There are so many variations that it's difficult to get bored. You really have sufficient time in the "adventure mode" though. Skipping that, I liked it. If you score high enough on every one, it unlocks an 8th puzzle per level. It stayed on my desktop for a long time. Match three's are, by definition, a combination of skill and luck, as the objects fall, at random, into the playing field. The music is celtic-like and almost Jethro Tull-ish. Some stuff I have never seen Sparkle 2 a Match 3. The "Challenge" mode just doesn't appeal to me. Just hang in there and stick with it!!!

Excellent, challenging game that rates up there with JQ3, maybe even surpassing it for the variation of game play. Just not long enough!!!!   2. I am used to match3 games going on for days and days which is one of the reasons I enjoy them so. I'm glad I got it. I found it charming. Too bad, because the basic game, while short, is really superior in the artwork and story.

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by maxbridge from Impressed - several modes - hours of fun I started out thinking this was just another M3 game - but I was wrong - after finishing the Adventure Mode and enjoying the gorgeous graphics, the story line and the great mix of gameplay, I have now discovered there are so many more modes to play - this game is great value for money.
